Short answer, no it doesn't hurt. However, as temperatures drop below freezing some people might not find the first few minutes enjoyable. Once the area starts to freeze though, it is 100% tolerable. Bonus! The T-Shock part means thermal shock, so you always end with a little heat {everyones favorite part}.

Men and women who would like to eliminate excess, stubborn fat deposits, and cellulite can benefit from Cryo T-Shock treatments. Ideal candidates are overall healthy with a positive attitude going into their treatment. Individuals with kidney disease or severe diabetes or those who are pregnant or undergoing chemotherapy should not receive these treatments.

Treatments starts off with a couple minutes of heat and then a period of cold. Finally, another 2-3 minutes of heat is administered. This change in temperature is required for the cells to go through apoptosis, or cell death when tissues reach cold temperatures. The dead fat cells are then naturally passed through the body. While part of the fat cells will be destroyed during your treatment session, some fat cells will also be eliminated over the following 2-3 weeks. Patients can return every 14 days for another treatment until their desired results are met.

You may also notice that you need to urinate more frequently for a few days after treatment as your body flushes out the dead fat cells. Because this procedure increases your metabolic processes, exercising for 30 minutes afterwards will help to quicken your metabolism and will maximize your cryotherapy results.

Visible results are often seen one week after treatment, though more apparent results will appear about three weeks after the start of treatment. Results are long-lasting if you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
